To understand a brand: Nameek’s

For us to truly get what Nameek's is all about is to realize what they do and how they excel in their niche. Firstly, Nameek's founder is Namik Shuhaibar – hence the name, I do suppose.

What is Nameek's all about?

Nameek's melds top European design and distributes it here in North America. Their luxury product line includes high-quality bathroom vanities, sinks, faucets, mirrors and bathroom accessories by leading manufacturers in Italy, Spain, Holland and France. Since customer service is their top priority, they have created for themselves an excellent reputation,  always being there to guide the consumer.

I was drawn to the simplicity of the following bathroom vanity styles. However, Nameek's caters to all tastes and preferences.  Browse and enjoy!

Jean Nouvel for Jado

If it were just the sleek form of the Jean Nouvel  collection that I so admire – I'd be content. Yet Jado surprises with a technological twist to rule out any usage fumbling and figuring. With electronically controlled settings that can be touch-programmed for temperature and volume preferences,  the Jean Nouvel collection is transformed from the beautiful to the divine.

As with the bathroom faucet, the shower in Jado's Jean Nouvel collection is as easy to use as it is pleasing to the eye. This video really brings home the delight.

Jado, with its European engineering, has some lovely collections for kitchen and bath and it is worthwhile exploring them all.

Personally, I love simple and flowing. Rich and quiet. Stubborn and soft. Do they make such stuff?

I think the Jean Nouvel collection by Jado fits the bill.

Maria Yee’s Ventana Collection

EcoLuxury. BreathingJoinery.  BambooTimbre. What do you make of these words?

Maria Yee coined these words to describe her technique of furniture creation. The idea of anything green entices me to follow up and learn more. The Maria Yee furniture line is an inspiration truly worth sharing.

Adapting ancient Chinese methods of furniture joinery, where pieces are fitted together without any screws or nails (get that!), was a challenge for today's modern manufacturing environment. Additionally, the system for hardwood would have to be modified for bamboo creations. Yet, Maria persevered and for the past 20 years she has been supplying the planet with world-class green furniture! Due to the rapidly renewable quality of bamboo, it has become the material of choice for the environmentally conscious.

Take a look at these gorgeous pieces from the Ventana line, named for the sprawling Ventana Wilderness in California.

I knew you'd like these!
